PSA:

WD-40 is NOT a lubricant. It is a solvent used to displace water. It will also decrease the effectiveness of whatever lubricant remains in the existing bearings; if they aren't sealed.

fan clutch units will make a horrid noise,when they are dieing.

They will also often hurt the water pump.
