I have my car up for sale (2004 Subaru WRX) and a dealer called today offering $17k for it. I originally bought it for $18.5k + Tax. I owe 15.5k on the car as of now. KBB has it for $16.2 for trade-in, Private Party $18.8. Should I hold out and wait for a private party sale or does it seem like a good enough offer to just trade in?
 
If you just put the car up this week, wait for a better offer. If it has been up for more than a month, take the $17k. Also, don't trade it in, sell it outright.
