it was from buffalo, ny to nyc.

anyone from nyc may wonder where the friik is hurricane Charles? it didn't hit nyc, but hit central PA and NJ instead. it was dangerous. damn! scary if you ask me how I make it back here.

I was amazed that I only paid $27 for gas(gas was around $1.9/gallon). everytimes, I pay $36+ on gas.

you came back again ? Didn't you make this trip just last month? ;)

One time coming back from Buffalo in the rain... I reached as far as the LIE... when I hydroplaned attempting to get into the offramp lane. I was still going straight (and not spinning thankfully)... I turned the wheel - no response whatsoever... ended up climbing a curb with gravel right before a brick wall (the overpass). Also lucky there was no barrier that could've damaged my car. So lucky.

Rain sucks. I also got rid of those Goodyear Eagles... they sucked in snow too... and you know Buffalo... what good is 4x4 when the wheels blow ?

BTW, you saved in gas probably because you were going a constant speed closer to 45mph (which I read is the most efficient).. probably 60mph instead of 75+... ;) The slower and constant, the better. It used to take me 2 tank fulls to get home... which is equivalent to ~30-35 gallons... which is equivalent to $70 nowadays. The joys of having an SUV. ;)

this is my 3rd time come back here. I come back like every 2 weeks because my job let me. ;)

guess what I see in route 80e? some dude made a HUGE hole on the brick wall. I took a pic of it, but you may not see it. link
after the accident, the it was police and ambulence all over the place. the traffice came to a STOP, I had to slammed the brake when i was going 70mph. I almost hit the guy in the front. crazy

I drove on average around 65-70mph on average. it may be more....just imagine it was the middle of the night and no car. I drove in two lanes for miles because I could.

Actually, you probably witnessed tropical storm Bonnie which was moving through at the time. Charles, will not hit the rest of the East coast until Saturday or so. However, it has been creating some tornados in North Carolina.
