Anyone know the drive cycles for a '96 Accord to set all the OBD monitors to ready state? I was told to drive the car for 50 miles straight on the freeway, but that didn't set all the monitors. After the drive, I scanned my car's OBD and it still indicate the catalyst and O2 sensor monitors are not ready. The car did have its O2 sensors replaced last week, but I thought a week of normal driving would have set all the monitors. Any ideas?

use an actual Honda forum?

I didn't know there is a drive cycle with sensors to activate?

Did you reset your ECU after the replacement? If you didn't the simplest way is to disconnect the battery for a minute.

That would make matter worst because reseting the ECU will also reset the monitors to not ready state. That means I have to go for another 50 miles drive again. I have a scanner tool, so no need to disconnect the battery to reset the ECU.

Also, tried several Honda forums.. it's kinda slow over there. Thought I would try my luck here, too.

On my 98 accord I had to make three "trips" with my car. Not sure what the specification of a trip is though, but after 3 days everything was back to normal.

What's the distance of each of your trips?
