FYI, I drove a car cross country with a shorted battery that wouldn't hold a charge. That's why I prefer a standard transmission. Anyway, most major brands of batteries are made the same way. They could last for a few years or they could die in one year. The name doesn't necessarily make the battery better.
 
back to to topic, battery brands don't mean much, they swap manufacturers and rebade as costs change. i personally prefer batteries manufactered by johnson controls
