I have never driven fast while making a sharp turn. by fast, i mean if i'm making a right turn, my body gets thrown against the car door.

does a stabilizer bar help in preventing you being thrown against the car door in a fast sharp turn?

I'm thinking yes since the stabilizer bar keeps the car from rolling.

w/o the stabilizer bar, the car is angling 10 or 20 degrees in fast sharp turns. since you are at an angle, gravity will pull you towards the car door.

right/wrong? why?

You getting thrown around in the car is simple physics. A sway bar will keep the wheels on the cement while your body is still getting flung. Rubber side down is always a good thing.

so the end result is that i'll corner better.

but i wont *feel* any more in control of the car than w/o a stabilizer bar at fast corners?

If the car is swaying all over the place, you will definitely feel *less* in control of the car.

if you dont want to get flung around, then change your seats to a more bucket type seat. Not necessarily sparco's or anything like that, just more bucket type. In Park Ave, i get flung around when cornering. in my Mz3, the chair holds me.
