YACT Dodge to build Miata rival

They are not building the Razor, just using a few styling cues from it but here is a link to it's specs anyway.

Engine specs are outdated since they now have new 4 bangers including a 300hp/260ft-lb 2.4l turbo.

at first glance, fugly. And I'd be surprised if a car company that subscribes to the "more/bigger is better" motto can build a balanced car that can rival the MX-5

"According to Autocar's sources, the new Dodge is "a carbon copy of the Mazda MX-5," and does indeed draw a few cues from the Dodge Razor concept of 2002."
Just to say it yet again its NOT THE RAZOR although I don't think the razor looks bad. I'm just hoping they can match the razor's specs and keep the price down. Wait till we actually have pics of the car before claiming its fugly.

QFT...concept drawings and real things rarely look alike....the way they screwed up the chevy SSR proves that.

considering i'll be in the market for a 2 seater roadster type car in a few years this is excellent news. granted i'll probably just buy the new mazdaspeed miata when it comes out - but competition is great for me in the end!

The razor looks like the bastard child of audi TT and a nissan 350z :Q

I assume you are talking about the razor which they aren't building since thats all we have pics of. The razor again that they are not building was more of a lotus elise rival only with a $15k base price instead of a $40k base price. The car had NO OPTIONS not even a radio.

I am sure it will be able to take my turbo miata in a straight line. Bit early to say it won't handle as well.
