YACT: Do I need an alignment?

GasX

Lifer
I rotated the tires recently and ever since, my car has been vibrating when I get to 60+mph. I know that it could signal that the tires are cupped, but I think me noticing it after the rotation was coincidence. I live in an area with crappy roads and I routinely hit nasty potholes.

Other key symptoms:

The car now pulls to the left if I let go of the wheel.
If I am going ~10mph and slalom left and right, the car feels like it is sliding back and forth instead of carving turns. (this is a hard sensation to describe...)

I agree with having the alignment checked and I would also have the wheel balanced.

BTW, I did warn you not to buy a Contour. 😉

Well, I am thinking of selling it...

It's just going to be hard to find a car that is as much fun to drive, has four doors and gets 23+mpg for less than $10,000.

I am either going to get a little civic coupe and go for the economy commuter car or get something more family oriented like a Mazda6 (getting married and pulling the goalie next week...)

Know where I can get a blue one?

No problem bro, what year do you want? The 95-96 are the best years to get.

BTW, I get 30-33 mph with the air on and a 196K mile engine. 😀

and a top speed of 45mph?

I know of someone selling a 1999 Blue Civic Si with 59,000 miles for $11,000. Think its a worthwhile $3000 upgrade - assuming I am going to use it as a fun little commuter?

Traveling about 75 mph on the tax-paidway. I've never had it over 90 mph before. I don't like to drive fast on public roads.
