Need more nifo. What zip, XLE or LE and some options like leather and stuff. Edmunds is a quick way to find out. Around where I am, no. Edmudns says dealer retail for a 99 XLE camry v6 is like 13k with leather and options.

I'd say he could ahve gotten a better deal.

EDIT: Didn't see that it was total and after tax and all that. I'd say decent deal if the car was an XLE V6 in good condition.

yeah, the reason he got it was cuz it was REALLY clean and it has had its 50k mile tune up
