YACT: Dead Battery

I left my stupid running lights on today and my battery died. I got someone to jump it for me. I drove it around for about 20min with my stereo turned off to try and recharge it. Think that'll be enough? I haven't tried to restart it yet since I don't want to drain the battery anymore. How long does it take to recharge a battery?

Just let it run in your driveway at idle for 15 minutes if you are worried.

That happened to me... and I drove around for a while. Then the next day my car barely started. Apparently draining a battery that is dying will kill it.

i did that today, lol. im suprised the adds dont talk yet about batterys for cars... 😛 they seem to like laptops.

How old is the battery? The older they get the less they keep a charge. I just had to replace my original battery (7+ years old) and it's a pain as it's inside the left-front fender. But, supposedly that's why it lasts longer as it's not subjected to heat from the engine.

They certainly have a lot of laptop batteries, though.
