Its a small hole, about 2mm wide and 6mm long, approx. I originally thought it was the hose, but it was part of the plastic support bracket that had cracked and left a hole for fluid to escape.

1991 Chevy Cavalier, 73k miles.

Going to head over to the hardware store in a few and see if I cant figure something out.

Why not patch it with a ..... resevoir. Be a lot less pain, and save you a pile of headaches everytime it starts to leak again.

Just fix it, the right way.

Haven't found a place to buy one yet... if you have any tips feel free :) I've already checked a few places around here...

That was my first thought, but then I realized that some good patch material would do the equivalent :p

if the fluid goes in thru the top,you can put a plastic bag inside,

if it goes in thru the bottom, you will have to repair/replce the bottle..

your local GM dealer can get them, prob need to use a 93,94 for them to look it up.

Dont put a plastic bag in there, it just might melt and that would be a nightmare for you and your engine.

You found crack in your coolant resevoir? Dood that's illegal! Get rid of it! Turn yourself in you fellon. You're so gellin you're a felon.

OK enough shenanigans. Seriously now:

They sell waterproof tape that you can use around coolant hoses temporarily, until you replace it. It looks like duct tape but it's black and has stronger adhesive. But if your going to an auto parts store for that (where i found it) then you might as well get a new resevoir too, the tape would probably cost more! But get the tape for emergency situations and keep it in the car.

Sealed it up with some epoxy type stuff that is supposed to be resistant to fuel and oil, hope it stays together :)
