I know one is not supposed to pressure wash a convertible. Mainly because water might get in the car. However, are car wash places, e.g. Mister Car Wash, safe for convertibles? Just in case you are wondering, I own a 2005 Audi A4 Cabriolet 3.0L.

Just don't gripe to the dealer when your top leaks. If you have a hand wash place, that's okay. But no machines.

Don't let a wheel ride along the roof if you go to one that uses a guide wheel.

All convertibles leak over time. I wouldn't take one through a high pressure wash but hand washes and soft brush washes are fine.

Personally, I usually wash my cars myself though.

My sunroof is leaking in a 94 Explorer. Only does it with large amount of rain, so I believe my drain is working, but there is a gap at the too between the glass and the seal. Where are you located and do you think you could help?

I assume you're talking to me.

If there is too much water getting past the sunroof seal, it can overwhelm the drains even if they are flowing normally.
They are small tube and can only flow so much.

Is that a factory sunroof? I don't recall too many Explorers of that vintage having factory installed sunroofs. Most I run into are aftermarket, which are a pain, to say the least.

If you're not sure, PM me and I'll tell you how to tell.

Ass-backwards advice.

NEVER take a convertible through a touchless carwash unless you want to get wet.

My convertible is 8 years old now, and I can't say I've ever had a problem with washing it. Should be fine.
