Sometimes my clutch pedal sticks when I'm letting it up, about halfway or 1/3 from the top, and I have to put my foot under it and give it a little nudge for it to come up. Why does this happen? Clutch worn out?

That shouldn't happen. The only way I can think of that happening is that there's some chunck of metal or something floating around inside the bellhousing, and that would be bad.

Is it a liquid clutch or cable?

Could be low on fluid, fork could be sticking, clutch needs to be replaced, etc.... many other little things....

Is the clutch easier to press than it used to be? If it is, your slave cylinder might be going bad and eventually the clutch will just sink to the floor without coming back up.

I don't think it's any easier to press than usual.. if there's a leak I guess it would change gradually so I wouldn't notice. But when it's not stuck, and I push it down, there is good resistance. There would have to be alot of force to keep it from moving up, but all it takes is a slight nudge to unstick it.

I don't know... I didn't know there were cable clutches. It's a 1995 240sx.

If it's a hydraulic clutch, then you clutch pedal pivot could be binding or sticking. Take a look under the dash and see if you can spot the pivot point. Then spray some lube, not wd-40, on the bushings.

If it?s a cable clutch, then you cable or return spring is binding, might need replacement.

That year has a hydraulic clutch. could be many things. release bearing & mastercylinder should be checked.

edit: check the hydraulic fluid under the hood. if it's low refill it, if it becomes low again soon, the hydraulics are leaking somewhere.
