and yea i could tell there was a lack of pressure in the brakes.. i noticed this last week, and promptly filled it back up with brake fluid... check brake light came back on again last night, and i could tell i was loosing pressure in the brakes... i checked the fluid again and it was really low.... bought some fluid at the gas station, and took the car home. got up this morning, and it was still full... i put the car on a jack and found that the front passenger side brake system was squirting out brake fluid from the lines whenever i stepped on the brakes. but i cant tell if its the brake line itself or something more, but i think its the brake line. Guy who owned the car previous had stainless steel brake lines put in. I called him and he said he never had any problems with it... of course. i bought the car from a dealer, and while they gave me a bumper to bumper warranty for 12,000 miles (im on mile 8000 now), i still have to pay a $50 deductible.
Before going to the dealer and having them put on an OEM brake line, would I be better to reinvest in another brake line like whats on there now? any recommendations?
I'm wondering what the advantage, besides looks, is to having anything other than an OEM brake line, and if the dealer replaces the failed, aftermarket line, should I have them replace the drivers side one too just so they are the same type of lines?
