yact - Cheap miata? (3-4k)

Hey all I am looking for a cheap miata to supplement my current car. It must be a 5 speed. Any big watch outs that I should be aware of? Any good internet resources out there? Any years in particular that are better or worse? I think im gonna wait for winter to try to score the best deal possible.

I don't know if you know this already, but they are very cramped cars. My knees were around the steering wheel when I drove my aunt's Miata.

Those cars are easy to work on, and are freekin indistructable.

We just ran an 8 hour endurance race at Virginia International Raceway and nothing broke. I mean, we hammered on that thing for 8 straight hours and it didn't even break a sweat.

Man, my aunt's car seemed to have problems. It had a broken O2 sensor and some other weird things wrong with it when it was like a year old.

im 5'10 and ive driven one. not the ideal cruising car but thats ok...

any suggestions on what yr to get in my price range? 1993 and before is the 1.6 engine and 1994 is the 1.8...
