I would prefer a 4 door sedan. My budget is about 20k including tax delivery whatever. I can do used as I wont need the car more than probably 4-5 years. No really fancy cars that will kill my insurance (20 year old male, perfect record). Japanese preferred unless there is a fairly reliable German car out there in that range.

car for 18k actually...you can get a preown accord or new civic sedan for that price

also look into new altima, pre own camry as well. and what about the mazada 6?

for German car you have to look at used Audi A4 and used VW Passat. I believe that German car cost a little more to fix every time something happen. Unless you know how to fix car you better off with the cheaper japanese counterpart

What reliable German cars? Have you seen the reports on said cars reliability lately?
Could buy a pristine 944S2 or 968 for that and those engines will run _forever_ when they're taken care of. People have 300,000+ miles on original engines. They're rock-solid and extremely well galvanized so they just don't rust. My old 924S never cost much more to maintain than my old Accord. Maybe $100/year more.

You should be able to find a 2005 Honda Accord LE automatic with power everything for $18,995 + TTL
