YACT: Car goes into neutral when I turn left......

Like it says. When I make a left turn, sometimes the car feels like it slips into neutral. Now, i dont know if the tranny actually goes into N or if something is just slipping in the powertrain. It works perfectly well every other time (Going straight and turning right) but probably half the time on a left turn it slides into N. Also, if I give it hell once it slips then engine revs and it jerks back into gear and off we go.

ANY idea what the hell this could be?? 😕

why don't they have races where they only go right? that'd would probably throw off everyone.. it'd be cool

Yep.

Just 4 weeks ago I had a transmission Range sensor changed. When those go bad guess what happens? Everything works fine except in drive. When the car is in drive, the power steering and power windows dont work.

I drive the Car of Quirks man. This is ridiculous.

Can you give basic info about your vehicle please? MAde, model, year, Auto/stick, etc.

If it is auto, you are probably low on fluid. When you are turning, the fluid is surging away from the pickup, so your trans pump is trying to suck air. Air is not hydralic fluid, so you got'z no power.

There was a service bulliton put out on that trans for something like what you are describing. It was a long time ago tho. IIRC the forward clutch piston can crack because it was made out of aluminum instead of steel, which will pop the trans out of gear.
