I bought a new antenna for my car, since my original power one broke. I went with a conventional this time, since they are cheaper and I don't care how nice a power one is. :)

But anyway, the new antenna has a male connector for it, but my car has a male connector coming from the stereo. I went to stores like pepboys, advance auto parts, circuit city, radio shack, sears etc. But they didnt have anything like what I need. Does anyone know where I can find one? even ordering online is a possibility. Thanks in advance.

I know Crutchfield sells antenna adapters (I just got one free with my order). Other online car audio stores may have them a bit cheaper.

Is it hard to do you think? or can someone with a good amount of car knowledge do it? (My GF's Dad is a mechanic)

its just a like a coax cable when you splice it

EDIT: tell me the make and model and I will get a part number for you

So can I use coaxial connectors and do it as if it was a cable line? Or did you mean it differently? Sorry, I'm a noob.

I meant splice it just like you would a coax cable...you will lose some reception if you do that though
