I want to use my head unit with 2 ohm speakers. I have been hearing differing opinions about whether the head unit can handle the current draw. Anyone have any idea?

EDIT:

It is this unit.

A good one probably will, yeah. The question of whether it's good for the unit in the long run is another matter though.

Depends on how well-built the power supply of HU amp is. You can always restrict yourself to reasonable listening levels and be fine.

highly doubt it. you are talking the head unit as in the radio in your car? no way, it will probably pop an internal fuse for sure.
