Just install a hidden fue pump cut off switch. The only alarms that work are the kind that page you and then you still have to be close enough to beat the hell out of the guy breaking into your car before he run off. Nobody else including the theif will give a crap about your alarm.

I have a paging compustar (paid around 800 installed) and love it, I've actually caught a few people, but they claim they were just "looking"

most car alarms are worthless... if a theif is going to steal your car he is going to steal it alarm or not

Depends. The only time our cars have been messed with is while they were sitting in the driveway. I can hear my alarm from inside the house and I can usually figure out what caused it to go off (open pipes, etc.)

If you're parked in public it doesn't do a whole lot.....I'd get an alarm installed more for the auto fuel/ignition interupt, etc.

BTW, I wouldn't go for that alarm since its got a single stage shock sensor.

I prefer this one

what exactly is a stage shock sensor?

Single stage means that the alarm will go off whenever it gets "hit". Two stage means that a light tap and the alarm will chirp a few times, harder and it will go off. I like it because there are lots of loud cars that are around the neighborhood so it'll chirp a lot more then actually go off.

i recommend anything DEI. They own 90% of the alarm market and deserve every dime they make. Quality stuff *2cents*
