ok car, watch out for torque convertor problems, electrical problems, and oil or tranny leaks, tired struts, cv joints
they weren't a lemon, but not the most problem free car. it just depends on luck and if the owners before you kept the car up.
they have power, but being FWD they can't use the power all the time.

two freinds of mine had them, if I remember right one was a 95 and the other a 98
one freind later got a 99 lincoln contenial, which he liked better
the other one got sick of it and said never again, RWD for any car with any power or size
if that is the kind car you want , take a look at lincolns
98 and newer lincoln contenails were good cars, but don't buy a pre 1998 model.
94 thru 2002 town cars are a good car and a good buy, RWD , tuff and durable, not a lot of power, but you could mod it. most town cars see a easy life unless they were taxi's, limo's or rentals. which is good for used buyers 17 city. up to 25 highway, cheap insurance. loaded mercury grand marquis are worth looking at
