YACT: Cadillace Seville STS. any problems with them?

decent mileage for a bigger car, city sucks, but highway is good. nice and powerful (fwd). anyone know of issues? specifically the 99 year.

ok car, watch out for torque convertor problems, electrical problems, and oil or tranny leaks, tired struts, cv joints

they weren't a lemon, but not the most problem free car. it just depends on luck and if the owners before you kept the car up.

they have power, but being FWD they can't use the power all the time.
plus torque steer city

two freinds of mine had them, if I remember right one was a 95 and the other a 98
one freind later got a 99 lincoln contenial, which he liked better
the other one got sick of it and said never again, RWD for any car with any power or size

if that is the kind car you want , take a look at lincolns

98 and newer lincoln contenails were good cars, but don't buy a pre 1998 model.

94 thru 2002 town cars are a good car and a good buy, RWD , tuff and durable, not a lot of power, but you could mod it. most town cars see a easy life unless they were taxi's, limo's or rentals. which is good for used buyers 17 city. up to 25 highway, cheap insurance. loaded mercury grand marquis are worth looking at

you can get a nice lincoln for that price

remember there is a reason most taxi, police, limos are ford/mercury/lincolns and not caddies

you could almost get a nice lincoln LS in that price range, a little smaller and RWD. best to get a 2001 or newer, the first year they had some electrical problem

nissan maxuimas are nice cars if you want something smaller, but premium gas, and insurance is high

lincoln LS

You could pick up a decent Lincoln Mark VIII for what you want to spend. Lots of power, comfy, etc. Not wrong-wheel drive, either. 😉
