YACT: Buying 2007 Honda CRV

Wife wants a new CRV. MSRP is 23,445. Invoice is 21,731. Edmond's true value is $22,981. Kelly Blue Book true value is 23,328.

What would your opening offer be and what price would you try to get to close the deal?

I have never bought from Honda before and don't know how much they are willing to come off the sticker. The 07 CRV is a new body style.

I have purchased 3 new Ford F-150s in the last 8 years and always paid $100 over invoice on all three trucks.

Any advice is appreciated.

well CRV's are popular vehicles so i doubt there is much room for haggling.

you'll most likely end up paying couple hundred bucks below msrp is most likely.

Are you a member of a costco? They have a car buying service, and from what I hear it is cake to use.

No Costco where I'm located. Member of Sam's Club. Havn't checked to see if Sam's offers car buying service.

i am getting a quote of ~19.7k for a CRV LX 2WD over the internet. Note that this is initial offer by the fleet manager and one might be able to take off few hundred more. Good luck
