YACT: Brake job question

RU482

Lifer
OK, I've got the old pads off on the right front wheel of my 93 Olds Silhouette, and the new pads are installed. Problem is, now the space between the pads is too small for the rotor to fit between.

I've done brakes on another cr before, but I seem to have totally forgotten how to compress the caliper in order to increase the space.

Can enyone enlighten me?

Thanks!!

couple of c-clamps should do it

also, you can borrow a special tool from autozone or advanced auto parts i think, pay a $25 deposit and get the money back when you bring the tool back (or just keep the tool i guess)

don't forget to open the brake fluid reservoir before you compress the calipers! If you top off the brake fluid when it starts getting a little lower, then you'll probably have to remove some before you compress the clamps.. otherwise, you'll be fine.
