Image.and for the magazines and hype. I mean the majority of Corvette's are automatic but if they didn't offer a manual people would cry foul. Not saying the M45 is a sports car, but it's the same reasoning.
 
Honestly the way most people drive there is little benifit from the manual, and in fact it becomes more of a hassle. Especially when someone is buying a large sedan, the need or desire for a manual would be even less. A full size sedan isn't bought for driving around a track or even really racing around town, if you want that go buy a sports car and not a sedan. Just my thoughts, I very well could be wrong though.
