Down, like any other late-model car. Check back in 20 years and maybe they'll be going up.

Well I traded in my F-Body two weeks ago (Firebird) and between the time it was discontinued and I traded it in, it went down in price.

Now the last year models, especially the limited editions will go up in price eventually. Especially if they are well maintained.

Hell they were junk anyhow, and the prices are not going up. I got rid of my 2002 FireHawk (#50) last year and bought a real vehicle. ;)

That's GM's code for the chassis/frame. Other GM cars have similar designations (W-body for example for the Grand Prix).

With less than $2k in mods I bet John could give that Z06 a run for it's money. It weighs almost 1600lbs more :)

Camaros and Firebirds are WAY too common to become a major collector's item. It might be worth something if it was still in good shape 20 years from now, but that's going to be hard do if you use it as a daily driver.

Define 'real' vehicle? F-bodies are perfect for what they're made for - cheap speed.

and yes, they are depreciating. Some of the collector models(30th anniversary TA, 35th SS, ZL1's etc. may keep their resale better, and appreciate slightly in a few years, but i doube it will pass the new price of the vehicle)

In good shape being key, most F-bodies are owned by white trash or non english speaking mexicans that put chrome all over them.

Sadly, I think that the only collectible Chevy that's available this year is the 50th anniversary Corvette. I'll bet that it will be worth a pretty penny down the road, though.
