I am looking for new wheels for my Jeep.
I need a 5 lug on 4.5" bolt pattern

I saw some advertised as "15" 5 lug rims, fit Ford & Dodge"

Anyone know what Ford and Dodge Light Truck 5 lug bolt pattern is?

I can tell you but then I will have to kill you ;)

It's either 5 by 6.50 or 6 by 6.50

Dodge (Mopar) big bolt pattern is 5 on 4 1/2.

Normal Ford is 5 on 4 1/2.

Now all you have to do is decide on back-spacing.

That's rim width, not bolt pattern.

Anyone know what Ford and Dodge Light Truck 5 lug bolt pattern is?

I was under the assumption it was either 5 by 6.50 or 6 by 6.50, am I missing something here ?

DOH !, sorry, I just had a brain fart of tremendous proportions

So If I have 5 1/2" back spacing right now......and my new rims have 3 1/2" - that means the tires will stick out 2" more right?

Any other affects to having different back spacing that I should know about?

You may have clearance issues.

Your best bet is to measure everything and find rims or order rims with the correct backspacing for your vehicle.

That would be nice.....but I am on a tight budget and looking to get used rims

You need to go find out exactly what wheels will fit on your current vehicle, and ONLY consider those used wheels that fall into those tolerances.

Bolt pattern and spacing are obvious. ;-) But backspacing and width is equally important. Do some research online or at the worst case, call up tire rack etc and ask them.
