So Honda is moving the accord and civic up a notch in their production (damn civic cost $19k!). Anyways, that means they are going to release another econo box that has no torque or whp. That car is the Fit. It's been out in japan for awhile and now they finally released it here. It looks pretty damn sporty compared to the older models. But I just can't get over 105lbs of torque! WTF.

All of the 5-door hatches in the ultra compact segment are ugly as hell. The 4 door sedan Yaris and new Aveo look decent though.

I guess the answer to your question is a resounding No.

You have to like the Fit if you don't want to pay high oil prices.... It definitely get more mileage than a SUBURBAN

The car is very light - you'll have no problems driving it.

I'd rather have a Fiat Grande Punto than the Fit/Jazz. Based on looks alone at least.
Plus there's a 60 UK mpg version of the Punto (probably 50~55mpg US)

I wouldn't mind having one as a commuter car. Be easy to park, manuever and it is only $13k. I'd just fear for my life when in traffic with the SUVs Americans love so much.

I'm going to seriously consider buying one. I don't give a flying flick who thinks it's ugly or lacking in style. I'm tired of useless sedans, and I dislike driving overweight vehicles. I've always liked wagons and hatchbacks, and I enjoy driving small cars.

But there are dumber ones. Murano, anyone? Pronounce that like it's spelled (not like Nissan wants you to--"M-you-on-o") and it sounds like it has "moron" right in the name.

Nova. No va = no go.

Honda calls the Fit "Jazz" everywhere else, which would be a fine name here, too, (aside from the obvious negative play on the word jazz, "jizz") but they already sell a scooter here that they call the Jazz.
