10 ft lbs (same as 120 inch punds) squeezed the gasket out? Are you using a rubber gasket or RTV? You should really use a rubber one, theyre like $15 from kragen.
Craftsman, brand new. I know 120in-lbs is 10ft-lbs, that's what I used. I think the problem is that I used some RTV along with the gasket (new, honda oem) at the advice of a friend. :\Originally posted by: Marlin1975

What kind/who made the gasket?
And what kind of wrench are you using and how old?
Are you sure? I thought 120in-lbs meant 1440ft-lbs, so that's what I used.Originally posted by: Evadman
There is a very large difference between 120 FT/LBS and 120 inch/lbs
120 inch/lbs = 10 ft/lbs. You have a ft/lbs torque wrench. Set it for 10 ft/lbs.

IF the gasket is rubber then you do NOT use any RTV on it at all. The only time you use a sealeant is with cork, and even then you use very little.
