just looking for your opinions on it after you drove it for a bit.

I test drove one. It's quick, but it has more torque steer than anything else I've ever been in. Also - it really is just a turbo neon.

awesome car
people who think it's just a rental car have never driven one
quality is a step up from a normal Neon to begin with, its NOT cheap like a GM, and is better than the equivalent Ford IMO... (I've driven 3 SRT-4's), 1 with mods, the other 2 stock. the engine is tough in this car. read a review on it with a full breakdown of parts... the car is a beast, and will probably turn out to be reliable just like the old turbo Dodges of the 80's

my ONLY gripe about the entire car is the big wing, and ride height
other than that, I love them
you can do so much with it... and out of the box.. 14.0 seconds in the 1/4 mile car.... Awesome!

regarding my above comment: It is based purely on anti-neon bias.

I would love to drive one and form an opinion with some basis...

it's a freaking impressive car dude..
i tried to put aside the fact most people think it's a Neon when I drove it cause I wanted to also form a non-bias opinion...
but the thing sounds MEATY and it hauls ass.... I love the thing.

I would buy one if A) I didn't have a wife and B) I was younger. That's not to knock the car, but let's be honest here - it's the definition of factory rice (so is the Sentra Spec-V). If you can deal with the fact it's a factory rice car for guys just out of college, and you don't mind having a permanent police tail (as he waits for you to break the speed limit by 1mph and then nabs you), then it's _by far_ the best bang for buck if performance is your priority. To get anything else to compete you have to pay another $10k.

Fast as hell, but I recommend keeping a REALLY tight grip on the steering wheel.

That's all three strikes as far as I'm concerned.

drum roll
whats better?
My dads 2000 maxima has been 1000x more money than my 2k1 Neon to maintain, my dodge has been completely reliable, and the most I've ever spent on a repair was $11, and that was a window switch.
it has 95,000 kms.
so many Dodge haters, my last 2 cars were both Dodge, and the entire time I've been driving (I'm 23 - have been driving since 16) I've had trouble free cars to drive. I guess some people just have bad luck!

Yep, they have an LSD
one of the major changes over the 03's.
