Taking a corner at 60 won't be. and yes damn sure I will take one in a vette.
It will defeat the purpose of owning a sports car if you will drive it like a festiva.
WHy would you take a corner at 60 in a vette on the open road? Do you like to put everyone else at risk?
I agree, but I think andy was being a little sarcastic. Very few cars can take corners at 60. I've taken an off ramp at 60 and I feel that I was breaking the threshold of my car. I would never drive my car on the threshold of losing control on a public road. There's a time and place for that and it's a track.
If you can't afford to go to a track then maybe you shouldn't be playing the sports car game.
However, having a sports car to make driving to work a little more fun should be a good reason to buy a sports car.
As many have state an S2000 is wicked fun. But not a good general useage car IMO. Mainly for it's lack of storage. I don't care about passengers personally, but I like to be able to haul lots of stuff that normal people would carry around (luggage, computers, monitors, occaisonal home depot stuff).
all depends on the corner... some corners, rated at low speeds, can be taken at MUCH higher speeds in a sports car.
