Yep, State Farm is paying off on the damage their policyholder inflicted when he sent me into the center guardrail of Interstate 50 at 70+ mph.

Pics
Front sidelight /Fender
Box door gone
Far view

The broken windshield, Front suspension damage (brake caliper, alignment) isn't shown.
Anyway, seems I'm looking for a vehicle with good mpg and yet some "beef".
Any suggestions ??
I'm open to anything anyone cares to recommend,

The company I work for will subsidize a Scion xB if I let them "wrap" it, to the tune of $200.00 / month.
One of the other drivers has one and is complaining of things already, so I'm looking for other drivers experiences with those vehicles.

My territory includes some gravel road action, so I can't have a low slung type.....

Anyone??
UPDATE 1
Shopping today... Found a 1990 240sx for $2800. 175Kmi
A couple of Civics for 3,800.
Maybe a Jetta ???

If I were you, I would probably take the company offer. I mean, it's like getting a new car for ~5k. It might be ugly, and it might be a driving billboard, but a new car for less than $100/month is mighty tempting.

Currently looking at some Hondas and Toyotas. I'm trying to not spend all my settlement money.

108 hp 4 cyl =|= "beef"
Not to mention, the xB has the aerodynamics of a small house.
I would imagine that car would be absolutely painful to drive, but that's just me.

How about a Subaru SVX? I was looking at these for a while for a winter car. 230hp 3.3L V6, most have AWD (they did make some FWD), and there's tons out there with 200+k miles on them, suggesting that they will go a while.

I have seen just a couple of Subarus on the lots and when I asked one fellow about them, he indicated that people hang onto them. That's a good sign, i think.

I'm going to go drive a Honda and a Toyota at a lot around the corner today.
Maybe we'll have a new car in a few....
