Well technically, they're both refrigerant. As is r-22 and r-410A (Puron)... They are all classified as refrigerants. Freon and Puron are brand names of r-12 and r-410A, respectively. As far as I know, there is no brand name for r-22 and r-134a.Originally posted by: Quixfire
