RSX>Corvette?
The last car Acura made to compete in the high end sport coupe class is the NSX.
He said "Acura far outstrips anything Chevy has to offer"

besides, since when did a trailblazer ever compete with a TL :p

Ok way to misinterpret something that was obvious. I meant within each, price/performance bracket. Im not a moron, I know that a RSX (Even a type S) will not beat a Chevy Corvette (Much less a Z06).

What I was getting at, it Chevy produces some very nice cars, but Acura is a Luxury Vehicle line. They far outstrip any Chevy that is meant to compete within a certain price bracket.

First off, the TL isn't in the Trailblazer's "bracket" so your comment didn't apply to the OP's question. And I would somewhat disagree with the price point differences between Chevy and Acura. Because Acura is a luxury brand, you are going to pay more for the name relative to chevy. In the OP's case, there's just way too much useless cost in a Trailblazer being a larger vehicle.

Oh I know they aren't in the same "bracket". But the OP was comparing them so, he effectively put it in the same bracket.

It's not quite 40 grand, but I think it's pretty close after tax and other fees. I think the TL is a little more than a trail blazer. I heard some wicked awful things about the front wheel drive of the TL hurting the car's handling, can anyone verify these claims?

Its not uncommon to get a fully loaded TL for 33-34k OTD. I have a TL, front wheel drive "issue" is not an issue at all.

So if I made a thread asking whether I should get a Corvette or an RSX that would make the comparison valid?

I realize both cars are not in the same bracket, but it's either one or the other.

Comparison is still flawed, but obviously if price was no concern or anything then you would obviously want the Corvette.

You know what I mean by this, I dont know why you are actually trying to act like you dont.

I own a 2005 Acura TL, and it's a pretty decent car for the money, though I have found it to be unreliable. The battery has a tendency to go flat, and I've had it jump started at least a half dozen times, the battery replaced twice. Acura's service people say there's nothing wrong with my car that I "must not be driving it enough", but I don't buy it. I suspect that with all the car's whiz bang gadgetry, maybe there's an electronics "leak" somewhere, i.e. a small motor, light, or appliance that doesn't shut off when I turn the car off.

As for the Trailblazer, there are better options. Right now, it's probably the worst SUV in GM's stable, definitely the most outdated one. I would rather get a Tahoe, or perhaps wait a month for the Saturn Outlook/GMC Acadia if you don't plan on doing a whole lot of towing.
That is really odd. I haven't had any problems with my 04 at all. I have heard that the RL's battery would go flat relatively quickly because of all the gadgetry but nothing about the TL. I'm surprised the dealer couldn't find anything.

Ok I am still learning about cars, so guys correct me if I am wrong, but could that not be the alternator?

I swear to god i posted a post dunno . Well Dont buy any chevy at "ALL" they arent that great in many categories such as: interior, reliable, and looks. The interior sucks the seats have very bad cloth and comes with a bad design on them unless you get the leather ones. The interior sucks bawls its the same damn dashboard and radio they had put in them over the last decade wtf ( No wonder the company is going down the drain hole hmm Pondering ......) And as far as the engine it might be okay in the realiability area but a waste of gas guzzler compare to honda , mitsubishi, acuras, ect. Acura are way better car in every other way . They are much more luxury car probably more features kinda like saying its a honda or toyota or an mitsubishi but a lil better

I've driven the TL. It's an excellent car with very good handling and performance. It also comes very well appointed for the money IMO. I'd take it over the chevy any day.

I don't know what kind of advantage the TL's FWD will have over a G35's, but my guess is that AWD is probobly better than the two.
