IF you know anyone who has tools, replacing a radiator on an Acura is cake.

You can get an aftermarket radiator for $150 or less and it will be better than the honda part. Then you need 2 hours (or less) and some fluid and water...easy.

Make sure you get a radiator with a metal tank...don't go for the plastic tank crap. Over the years plastic tanks always leak or just flat out bust due to thermal wear and tear, etc.

You can probably find a local distribution place that will even deliver the part.

Took me 3.5 hours. :) Never done anything but oil changes and nothing but a haynes manual. Everyone came to the garage expecting the engine to blow up, but it didn't! Hahahaa.

Got 250 bucks to fix it, but spend 150 on a new radiator and supplies and pocketed the rest. 93 camry.

I would replace the radiator hoses while you're at it. Pick up a gallon of Honda type 2 (pre-mixed) anti-freeze.

Hoses will probably run you about 30 bucks for the upper and lower hoses at the dealership. You can try getting a radiator at Radiator Barn Oh yeah might want to test out your radiator cap and replace it if necessary. Last thing you want is to over heat and damage your headgasket.

My radiator was plugged on my Nissan pu. The dealer wanted $850 to replace it. The part was a dealer only item and went for $425. Only had 50K on the truck and figured I didn't need a new one. Pulled it out, nothing to it, and took it to a radiator shop. They cored it. $80. Reinstalled easy. Problem solved.

Anywhere from $250 to about $500 depending on where you take it and what brand of radiator is purchased.

Eh, its simple on honda cars. 4 bolts and it pulls right out. Sometimes the bottom hose can be a bit of a challenge.

A radiator is one thing you don't want to buy from a junkyard. You'll spend time & money installing it only to find out that it leaks...

Buy a new one, with a warranty
