Thanks for looking and helping, My wife's altima, which drove fine earlier this morning now is being a bit stubborn. I turn the key and start the car, only it does purr as it normally does, instead it is very rough and it seems like the engine is about to throw itself from its mounts, it idles rough for maybe 5-20 seconds then dies. If you try to give it some gas the engine dies? Does anybody have a clue whats going wrong? Thanks

Disclaimer::: I know nothing about cars.

That being said... on the car that I learned how to drive (89 Pontiac 6000LE), I had a similar issue... it would idle for a few seconds then die, if you gave it some gas the engine would die... that turned out to be because of a bad spark plug...

but if I was you, I wouldn't trust car advise I get from ATOT =)

possible i guess. u check those sparkies recently?
bad wires? bah
idle timing way off?

i'm about to go pull the plugs check them, will let yall know if I find something, but in the meantime, if you have any ideas I would be greatfull,

call a mechanic. 😛

once they introduced electronics to engines, you need a degree to figure them out.
