Sorry for another YACT, but I was wondering if anyone has any opinions on a 93 accord. My friend wants to get a new car, and he still owes about 2500 bucks on his 93 accord. My dad needs a car, so I was going to let him drive my 84 Benz and get this car instead. Heres the specs for it.

-93 Accord LX
-Excellent body and engine
-93K miles
-Automatic transmission :(

-Projector style headlights
-Rear altezzas
-Lowered
-Intake and exhaust
-Front strut bar
-Panasonic Headunit and JL 15" sub
-Alarm/Keyless entry
-Couple of other things, just can't remember

The car obsiously has had some work done to it, but everything has been done "properly". I even have a set of 17" ADR rims that are just sitting here to put on it He has had it for about 2 years now, and is just ready for a change. I was thinking of offering him 2500 for it, or maybe a little less. I will try and get some pics, but do you guys think this sounds like a good deal?

EDIT:

I forgot that he has a cardomain page on it...

BUMP 11/1/03

I decided that I want the car. My mercedes just isnt going to make it through the winter. I gave him a 500 dollar deposit and will give him another 2000 by the end of the week. Can't wait to get the car.

UPDATE 11/14/03

I finally got my check in, and it looks like I am going to get the car tomorrow.. the dmv isn't open till monday obviously, so I am hoping to get it up and running by then :) I will definlty post new pics soon :p

93k is pretty good mileage wise. Take off the altezza crap tail lights and its not a bad deal (assuming a relatively clean history). BTW, never buy a car from a friend that you intend to stay friends with.

Hes really a friend of a friend... I worked with him back in 99, didnt talk to him till late this year, and it turned out he was one of my good friends best friend, I had just never knew. The car defintly is NOT riced out, all the extra stuff is properly done and tasteful.

Sorry, I have a 4th gen and every altezza I've seen looks like crap. A properly done mod is a H22 swap;)

He got his altezzas right when they first came out and I think they look really good, they look different than what everyone else has out there. I will try and get some pictures and show you what I am talking about. Of course a H22 swap would be nice,, but this will have to do for the time being :)

Yes, pics would be good. I'd be shocked if I haven't seen them tho since SoCal is the Altezza capital of the U.S.:p;)

Well, what a shock, those Altezzas look like crap. The red hoses under the hood are pretty funny tho. The other tails he has on the second page are the red/clears I wanted for a while. I'm happy I didn't spend money on them tho. They look pretty good with the red color tho.

Oh well, I think they both look good, the hoses just look funny because of the lighting :p Altezzas really dont make or break the car for me though :)

I dont think the wheels or the lights look good. But otherwise it looks in fine shape.

Why don't you give your Dad the Accord?

The wheels arent included anyway.. he already sold them with the tires for 400 bucks to his other friend. I already have a set of brand new adrs and kumho tires that I can put on anyway.

doesn't matter if it was done right or not. it's riced! strut bar? altezzas? bwahaha.

ok, but seriously, i would have recommended the car if it wasn't for the rice-ons, but not because of taste. simply because that just screams "i was driven way too hard and abused!" that said, the price is pretty decent for that mileage. you just have to guesstimate how many "adjusted" miles are on it considering how and who was driving it.

edit: i love my 91 accord. that gen is a good vintage. ;) (are there any bad ones with accords?)

Good price. I have a 92 w/159K and it's in fine shape, save for the multiple dings and scrapes all over it from jackasses hitting it while parked or flinging crap at me on the freeway...grrr

Refer to my first post:p Anyhow, I was thinking about the whole being driven hard thing. When I got my 4th gen it had 90k on the clock. At 150k I put in the h22. Well, I drove it pretty hard for those 60k on the f22. With regular maintainance it doesn't care what you do it. Those cars are solid.
