Go for it. I've had my '88 for well over 6 years now. Excellent car to learn on. Parts are plentiful and cheap, great aftermarket, etc.

If you get it, your first mod should be a nice set of weld-in subframe connectors.

On Motorweek they were discussing older cars and they mentioned an 85 TA and they said the 1/4 mile time was 17.1 sec and an 05 Kia Spectra was is the low 16's.

That hurts....

QFT, those cars were about as stiff as a wet noodle. A friend of mine had a late 80s IROC convertible and when you went over a speed bump at an angle the door glass would move out from the roof seals about an inch.
