I had a buyer take a look at my car today. The car had alignment problems (thread) and the buyer noticed (my mistake - i should've fixed it before hand).

The car is 97 camry in good condition and I was asking $7300 for it. The buyer offered $6500, plus I fix the alignment problem. I'm going to counteroffer $6800 and pay for alignment. Does that sound like a decent price? The car has 63k miles on it and this is my first time selling a car - so no experience there.

Ok, I know that price checks are against the forum rules, but this is an important decission, so I'll take my chances :)

Well you should know what's acceptable before you even put the car up for sale... I would counter with $7000 and pay for alignment.

His argument was that even though he thinks that it's alignment problem - it could be more serious and he would end up spending more money on it in the long run. Stupid me for not fixing it beforehand - but you learn from your mistakes.
