Meh - it looks like an overgrown, less handsome TSX. I would find it tough to choose one of these over a G35 if I were looking for a car of that ilk, notwithstanding Honda/Acura's generally excellent engineering. Thanks for the pics, anyway!

i totally agree with you even as a tsx owner. regardless of my loyalty to acura, if i had the money to purchase the 04 tl, i would rather look into the g35 coupe 6mt. but apparently i'm not at that level... at the tsx level, which i love btw.

Some of the posters there are on crack.
Sick as ever, Infiniti, Lexus are over in this division!!!! The back looks a little like the Caddy CTS. May give Acura the extra American market that was controlled by GM.
You just keep telling yourself that, buddy.

Wow - nice. I wish that the pictures were larger and less grainy, though.

It looks like they're pulling a Nissan (IE - the new maxima looks like a fatter version of the altima, etc), at least this car looks MUCH better than the Maxima. I actually like it better than the G35, but I'd still take either one ;)

The more I look at it, the more I like it. This is one of the most beautiful sedans I have ever seen. Definately better looking than the G35 (what's with the pursed-lips front on that thing?).

Looks ok except that aweful side treatment where the door handles are.

To each his own, but the phrase "one of the most beautiful sedans" should probably be used judiciously. I don't think this car is ugly, exactly, but it has a persistent Japanese blandness, as though it were designed by committee. I drive a Japanese car, and don't mean to paint with too broad a brush, but IMO there are darned few Japanese cars nowadays whose designs are really bold or striking (the G35 coupe comes to mind as one).

EDIT: On balance, after looking at all the photos again, this is not a bad-looking car at all. The interior looks great, and at least it has a bit more sportiness than the current TL. I still find it a bit dull overall, though.

LOL...idiots, the lot of them. What's this talk of shifters on the wheel??? I don't see any. I see Acura Nav voice command, stereo controls, cruise etc., but no shifters...

But then that gated shifter is there for a reason...prolly just your standard autostick.

Yeah, I looked pretty carefully too, and can't see anything there that could be mistaken for shifters (unless one of those tiny buttons on the steering wheel operates a shifter, which I doubt - they appear to be for the stereo and cruise control). Honestly that is not something I would care about anyway, because I would get a stick if I ever bought one of these cars.

Damn, that thing looks like bland a$$. Who designed this damn thing, Toyota?? ;)

This is one of the most beautiful sedans I have ever seen.
Can I have whatever you're smoking? :D Anyway:

(1) Back end reminds me of a Lincoln Continental/Dodge Stratus
(2) WTF is up with the scallops (scoops) at the bottom of the doors near the rocker panels. Looks like complete sh!t.
(3) The interior looks AWESOME!!!!:D
(4) The area above the rear wheel wells looks to massive with that kinked up roofline thing they've got going on
(5) WTF is up with the red reflector at the end of the character line towards the back?? WTF!!!! With it being THAT close to the tail lights, it looks like crap
(6) Front end looks like a combo TSX + Lexus SC430
(7) The whole "Acura" area on the front bumper is too large. Too much plain space there that makes the front end look unecessarily massive

Overall, I give it a big MEH with the exception of the interior.

What're you smokin'? It's a Honda. Of course it's just FWD only.
Personally, I don't know what I think about the exterior, but the interior is very nice (although it appears somewhat cramped).

I like the design of the wheels, because they remind me of the wheels on my A4 :)

Anyway, I think that that the car looks nice, although it is a bit bland. It looks cooler than the 2003 model, though. Those seats look really comfy, too.
