Which would you rather have? It's time for me to get a car (finally), and I've narrowed my choices down to these two. I like the Audi because of the red lighted interior, the AWD, and the turbo :) But the BMW is a bit faster, has an I-6 instead of an I-4, and is still AWD. No poll, I want the reasoning behind your decision.

Neither, because they're bother slower than frozen molasses up a hill at absolute zero.

Is AWD required in your area because of winter conditions?

flip a coin IMHO as they are both nice, personally on looks alone I would go with the BMW....good luck.

Isn't the AWD on the BMW pretty rudimentary? I thought the xis only had a basic 4WD system that splits power 50/50.

I loved my old 01 A4 1.8T Quattro, had it for almost 3 years and never had a problem with it. With a ~$500 ECU chip upgrade, you can get over 200hp easily.

Yea...Japanese cars and me don't get along too well. I'll stick with the German-made automobiles for now. Thanks though.

Test driven both. Liked both. Power isn't my main concern, though it is nice. I'd rather have a nice interior for those long commutes. Plus, it's easy to chip the Audi and get decent performance.

I drive the 325xi and yes, it isn't very fast, but it's comfortable and handles very well, plus I think it's a little bigger inside than the a4, or at least it feels so. Both very nice cars though.
