YACT: 2000 Toyota Camry VS 2000 Nissan Altima

Well the whole thing with getting a new Ford Ranger fell through, 🙁 and I havent been able to find what I have been looking for in the way of a small truck so I decided to look for cars, and found two that are very much to my liking.
Car number 1.
2000 Toyota Camry LE, pretty plane jane for what it is, 77k on the clock $7995
Camry Link

Car number 2.
2000 Nissan Altima GLE, Loaded out, has everything execpt the spoiler, 75.5k, $6995
Altima Link ignore the price there I have an ad with the stocknumber showing the price listed above.

What does The Night Crew think?

I had a 2000 Altima...

I would get a 1997-1999 (same thing) Nissan Maxima GLE/SE (LOADED) for the same price over the 2000 Altima or 2002 Camry .

Neither are too exciting..but Altima pre-02 is kind of crappy, so I'd go with the Camry. You'll get more space and legendary Toyota reliability.. performance should be the same since I'm guessing the Camry's a 4-cyl?

Toyotas are no more reliable than Nissan.
Space is is about the same.
Altima performs better except for slightly longer braking distance.

Toyota does get slightly better gas mileage.

i would go with the altima just because i like nissan, and the fact that its loaded, less miles and costs less. both have same torque at 4400rpm and weight is almost the same, but toyota is a bit roomier and has 23/30 mpg vs the altima's 20/28, im not doing the math to see when the price and mileage of the altima will correspond with the camery's since gas prices likes to take a price leap when you least expect it. this to me comes down based on style now because both has things that cancels each other out.

i would go with the nissan mostly because it is fully loaded, and little bit because i like altimas over camries

Camry!

I have 97 camry le 4 cyl. 170k miles. Absolutely Zero problems. Reg Maintenance.
Brakes, oil, hoses, struts, timing chain, etc.
