I'd go with the 300M, but I will admit that the Maxima is probably a better car for the long haul though.

Having sat in both, the 300M has a hand up in comfort and room. I spend enough time in my car that it's a major point for me.

the 300M is nicer inside (my dad has a 2000 Maxima) but the Maxima is probably more durable... although the 300M is not a bad car, i dunno why people think it's a POS.. they are under-rated if you ask me. the NEW 300M's with 18" rims, HID headlights, ground effects, are gorgeous cars... i love them!
