YACT: 1992 Nissan Maxima

I need help replacing the antenna on my '92 maxima. I can replace the antenna itself easily enough, but the whole problem is getting to the damn thing. It seems it's mounted behind the car jack and behind a metal plate and I can't figure out how to get past that. If anyone could reccomend anything or possibly even come up with a step by step, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Goto their 3rd gen section, they should be able to help you out

btw, their site maybe down right now for maintanence.

my 92 maxima's engine flutters...when idle especially..rpms fluctuate between 500-1500rpm... we changed the spark plugs but it didnt help...any ideas?

I'd help you out, but the previous owner of my maxima replaced it with an acura antenna himself, so I have no idea. Got any pics of your car?

Um...unless you know how to dismantle and repair the engine, I'd say take it in to get it fixed.

hmm....try cleaning the throttlebody and check the PCV or EGR valve (I'm not sure about this, but I know that is somehow related to a rough idle).

we took it in to the repair shop and the cleaned the throttle body and changed the distributor cap...but that didnt help...
they said they didnt know what the problem is, it could be several things, and the only way to find out is to repair one thing at a time until the problem is fixed...
when they hooked up the car to those computers for the diagnostic check, nothing showed up as bad
