YACT - 1992 Cavalier - Worth fixing?

No long story here, just the Cliff's. 🙂

- Essentially free car (transfer fees on me) from family
- Needs brakes & exhaust for sure
- Not sure what else, have to get another shot at it

The "essentially free" part is making the pennypincher in me yell "DO IT!" but the cautious bastard is wondering how fast and deep the bills would pile up.

/pages resident Cavalier junkie 😀

Edit - No, seriously, I really need another look at it. Haven't ridden in it for probably several years. I'd guess it's nudging the six-figure mark in mileage and has a bit of rust - the price of driving on over-salted Canadian roads.

depends how bad the brakes and exhaust are. Also, is it leaking any fluids or burning oil?

Exhaust usually runs a couple hundred if you need to completely replace it, brakes can vary quite a lot depending on whether it's just routine or if they're fvcked up.

what engine is in that car? they didn't put the quad 4s in there, did they? 😀

No they didn't. It's likely the OHV 2.2 - a decently reliable engine.
