Civic sucks arse. Engine is good but don't expect to hear anything on the radio when you're going past 60 without having the volume on full. Interior is way too cramped, even worse in the coupe. I'm only 5'10" and I hate getting into the car.
Good car other then my gripes.Get the corolla or an older model accord, camry.

go drive a 03 and then talk again. and 04 civic will be even more quiet with more sound damping material.
03 civics noiselevel is comparable to older accords but nowhere as good as the new accord.

I wonder if there is that much of a difference. The ones I was referring to is a 2000. Even so, its still as cramped as a mofo.
I have a 96 sedan, I'm about 5'11" and I have no problems as far as space is concerned.Originally posted by: Kelvrick

I drive a '03 Civic LX right now, and the car is sooooooo silent, even at ~80mph...maybe the one you were driving was a dud? I don't like the auto tranny in moderately slow traffic conditions in the corners, i've had to resort to left foot braking at certain corners to keep the car from downshifting when it shouldn't...
My older '98 Civic LX was babied, and handled a bit better at the limit, but yet it was still a bit louder than the '03...
Either way, my suggestion is: buy the civic coupe![]()

Maybe the car was a dud, or it was just an extremely windy day. It wasn't engine noise but wind noise that was drowning out the radio. My car's radiotor was busted so I borrowed a roommates civic to get to work and I swear it was the worse wind noise dampening ever. No real complains on space once I get into the car, but I just kept having trouble getting in and out of it, banging by head against the roof and such.
