Safty = Accord

Gas Milage = Accord

additionally.

Maintanence = Accord

Repair Costs (if needed) = Accord

hmmmmm what do u think?

Vee-Dub all the way!

Got a 93 Jetta myself. Insurance is CHEAP, gas mileage KICKS ASS, not sure on saftey, when it had 100,000 miles on it, it was still worth $7,500 so I'd say its got a high resale value....

?
These are two diffrient cars.
The Accord is a midsize sedan desinged to compete with Passat.
Jetta on the other hand is more like Civic sized...
So Accord...
You are getting MORE car for the money + Jettas are not reliable...

Accord. They are safer, and the resale value on accords is very high (though if you plan to keep it forever that doesn't matter), see MustangSVT's post above. Check out a Consumer Reports used car buying guide magazine - the Accords are more reliable and just better over all. PM me if you want the exact details on them.

Considering one made in Ohio and one in Mexico and one has a good history of reliability and the other only has a good Drivetrain warranty only cause everything else breaks I'd go Accord. (I worked at a Honda/VW dealership and V-dubs came in for the silliest reasons)

I would have to agree. VW's are just one big financial mess in the making. Insurance alone, I wouldn't touch it unless I was 25 or over with a clean driving record and had a vagina.
