YACST: Yet another camera suggestion thread

I'm looking to replace my aging Canon SD-110 with a sexy new model that's got a good zoom on it. I was thinking of just getting the SD-1000 but the reviews on that camera haven't been stellar, the zoom is only 3x and it doesn't have IS. I want something I can fit in my pocket without to much trouble, that takes good pictures and good battery life. I'd like to get something that can use rechargeable batteries but it's not a huge issue if I don get that. Here's what I've been considering:

Canon PowerShot 710 - IS- 6x - small
Canon PowerShot SD800 IS - 3.8x - tiny
Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3K - IS - 10x - small
Olympus Stylus 770SW - no IS - 3x - tiny - shock and water proof

*edit*
I suck at links.

Just as an FYI from someone who has been pouring through reviews of compact DigiCams. Panasonic TZ3 has the largest zoom, Canon SD800IS is the best Canon out, and Olympus is a decent camera. However, if you are looking for the best picture quality available in a compact, the Fujifilm F31fd is the best camera out there.

All of the cameras have their good and bad points. As far as compacts go, picture quality is about all there is. If you want to do something more with a camera, then SLRs are the only way to go.

I recommend visiting dpreview.com to get more information. However, you will be on info overkill which will make deciding more difficult.

I'm leaning towards the A710 now. Mostly because I don't want to deal with camera specific batteries anymore. I found the Canon SD-850 which has slightly more zoom and similar specs but I noticed that the SD850 has the Digic III processor while the A710 uses the Digic II. Is there a huge difference between these two? I'm sure anything is going to look better than what I'm getting with my 110. I've got absolutly no complaints about the 110 so I'm guessing anything will be pretty damn good looking.

I picked up the TZ3 to take to Sydney with me, and I love it. I've taken some super amazing pics with it, and it's small enough to drop in a pocket.
