How much damage could I do to my phone if I left it in my freezer overnight? Would it be enough to kill it?

I've left mine (Ericsson R278) out in my car overnight quite a few times over the winter (where it gets decently below freezing) with no ill effects.

maybe... it's already messed up as it is now

I've heard (haven't been able to verify) that it's bad for certain types of batteries to get frozen, but cell phone batteries are probably designed to take the occasional temperature extreme.

My friend lost his cell phone in the snow once ... it was there for two weeks before it all melted away. The phone worked just fine.

I had my cell phone with me while I was sledding in -7F temp. The phone worked fine, although the LCD display reacted slowly.

Okay, I guess I will just directly hook up an AC line to it. I know it shouldn't handle 100+ volts.
