I normally get those Acuvue 2 two-week disposible contacts, but I was thinking about trying out these Focus Night and Day 30-day extended wear contacts. I'd probably still take them out at night most of the time, but it sounds like they are alot easier on your eyes.

What do you guys use, and do you have a preference? Should I go for the 30 day ones?

The 30 day ones are alot more expensive, but I figure if I don't wear them to sleep, I might could get them to last a little longer....

well, I was reading that these new 30 extended wear lenses allow alot more oxygen to your eyes (so that you can sleep with them and wear them for a long time). Since I kind of have trouble after wearing my lenses for 8-10 hours, I thought if I got these extended wear ones, then I might be ok with contacts for a full day, you know what I mean?

edit: link to the article, in case you were interested :)

Honestly, if your eyes get dry, I don't think those will help you any more. The purpose of having highly oxygen permeable lenses is to prevent your eyes from suffocating. They have found that keepign in contacts for extended periods of time can cause your eye to degenerate increasing your risk of cataracts.

oh, I guess that makes sense. Alot of my problem is dryness, but I thought it might help if I wear extended wear contacts, but just daily. I can't even IMAGINE wearing my contacts all the time...ick.
