Here's my current resume. I got my MBA several months ago, and I have a few years' experience as an IT manager. I'm hoping to land a good project manager position in the IT field, so that's how I want to gear my resume. But I'm open to anything that pays well enough and has good opportunities for advancement.

Thanks in advance!

Just a question about your experience. How did you jump from a cook/student manager to an IT manager whom is not studying in any comp/IT related field and with no prior IT experience?

It's a Bible degree focused on missions (i.e. going to another country to plant churches). It's a BA because I took two years of Greek.

I was wondering how to word that. I started at a low position at my current company working part of the time on insurance-related things and part of the time scanning documents into the imaging system. The IT manager at the time found out that I knew a lot about computers, which was all from personal experience. I backed her up while she was on vacation or out sick. After working there for a little over a year, she was promoted to office manager, and I was promoted to IT manager.

E equals MC2 posted his resume-advice thread at virtually the same time as I, yet he's received over 50 responses compared to my 2. Is it just because he posted a pic of his g/f? My wife already said I can't post a pic on here.

Can I still get some advice?

sure, here's my advice: post pics ;)

Maybe include wording thats says that you were promoted from lowly underling to IT manager based on knowledge.

Since you are in the IT field and have experience, I'd recommend a section listing the platforms in which you are familiar. As it is now they would have to build that list mentally while looking through your bullet points. I thought it would have been in the qualifications area.

Did you include the management and personnel decisions because you were worried they might think you were just a tech grunt?

I think the line that has "....so much more" at the end of it needs to be revised a bit.
It's not a game show, it's your chance to quantify your experience, not give a hook.
